Neck protector
- Particularly large contact surface
- Designed for long exposure times
- holds without halter
Our neck protector – also known as a neck warmer – is designed for use in the neck and upper area of the cervical spine. It is also suitable for supporting the treatment of neck bumps. The large surface area of the pad provides optimum coverage of the neck area.
The neck warmer is available in two standard sizes: for large horses and for ponies. It is fastened at the throat with a buckle. The width of the buckle can be adjusted to fit the base of the neck exactly.
The outside of the mane ridge is reinforced with a splint, which keeps the neck protector taut and prevents it from bunching up. Thanks to the ear cut-out, it fits well and cannot be easily shaken off by the horse.
The neck protector is primarily intended for use when the horse is at rest. So use it mainly when your horse is in the box or in the grooming area.
Some of our test horses also wear the neck protector in the paddock and in the pasture. Thanks to its good fit, it stays in place perfectly. Decide for yourself, you know your horse best!
Tension in the neck: in horses with a tight neck (atlas), the infrared effect can relax the muscles and loosen them.
Bump on the neck: if the horse has injured its neck, the neck protector can be used to support medical treatment.
Osteoarthritis: the returned body heat supports the body and keeps the joints warm, which leads to pain relief during movement.
Also discuss the use with the attending veterinarian!
Start the application slowly and increase the dose gradually.
In the first few days of use, the increased blood circulation can lead to an increased effect. The application should then be reduced again and gradually increased in the following days.
We recommend that the products are not used continuously for 24 hours, but that the body is always given a boost by alternating between use and rest. The optimum duration for most applications is half a day, e.g. overnight use.
Observe your horse to see if it feels comfortable with it!
