VITANDAR and the people behind it
VITANDAR is a German equestrian sports label that was founded in Hamburg in 2015. We produce functional accessories for competitive and leisure sports. The core of our collection are the products with infrared membrane, which we developed together with a European fabric manufacturer specifically for equestrian sports.
Functional fabrics have already proven themselves in their use in competitive human sports. Our aim is to apply this technological progress for use in equestrian sports. We use high-performance, high-tech materials that are manufactured and processed in Europe. Because regardless of whether your horse carries you safely through the forest or to victory – it is and remains an athlete. So let’s give him the right equipment!

I am a fashion designer by profession and have been working in the textile industry for more than 10 years.
I seem to have inherited both the textile and the horse virus from my great-grandfather. I started riding at the age of 11 and, with a few interruptions due to my studies and job, I have never stopped.
I grew up in Berlin. My riding has been very varied. I competed in dressage and show jumping competitions, took part in endurance rides and trained gallopers on the racetrack. The area around Berlin offered fantastic riding terrain, where we ended the season with traditional hunter riding.
I often stood by the horse and thought that one or the other product could have been designed differently. In the textile industry, I have seen many new high-tech materials and technologies; and inspired by functional sportswear, I thought that you have to bring this to the horse…

Together with veterinarian Kristin Schütt, we have developed many of our products from the infrared line. She supports us with her in-depth knowledge of conventional medicine and chiropractic.
